    1. he says thank you, John! and while we currently have a cat and dog, we previously had goats chickens and turkeys so I definitely understand the appeal of having no/fewer pets 🙂

  1. I have no pets (none are allowed in my apartment complex) so I suppose I’ll have to give my love to my older sister’s coterie of wiener dogs (and if you’ve never stumbled across a coterie of wiener dogs, let me tell you, it’s NOT a laughing matter…well, actually it IS, but don’t tell the wiener dogs! 😀 ). Also, I’ll send a hearty salute and greetings from Colorado to Chairman Meow! 🙂

      1. I never learned to play the accordion but my mom’s dad knew how, and he’d play and sing old Norwegian folksongs to us when we were kids. We had no idea what the words meant but it was so much fun watching him play and sing. Before I went deaf, I used to play my guitar for a pet cockatiel I had back in the day. She loved when I’d serenade her (even though my singing voice was…um…awful). 😀 I don’t know what my sister’s wiener dogs would do if I tried playing for them. And that image you linked to is hilarious! 😀

      2. Glad you liked it! Wiener dogs and accordion must be a recipe for happiness, in Norwegian or otherwise! 😀

    1. in the past ive fostered animals as well as just gone to visit at the local spca. Perhaps that may be nice, and less permanent!

  2. Omgosh. The world needed this post.. Your cat is freaking precious! 😆
How did I not know there was a National Love Your Pet Day and why aren’t there flyers or something?
We have an adorable orange pumpkin. His name is Enzo and he’s a real cuddlebug. I adore him. He knows it. We both win.
Thank you for sharing this! I will have to mark my calendar for next year!

    1. So lovely! Enzo sounds very cute! 🙂 Chairman Meow also knows how cute he is and plays it up! Look forward to seeing Enzo pictures next National Love Your Pet Day! 😀

      1. Cats.. the most snuggle worthy master manipulators. 🤭
And I look forward to showing him off! Hopefully he’ll have a little sister by then, too! 🥰
Be sure to stay safe and have a lovely week.

  3. We have a cat named, Callie. She is a tortoiseshell (tortie) adopted Feb. 14, 2020, She loves to play and a very active cat. We live in an apartment complex that allows pets and she is an inside cat. I’ve written several posts about her.

Chairman Meow is a gorgeous cat!

    1. Yes! I remember you mentioning Callie before 🙂 Chairman Meow is also an inside cat but enjoys going outside (being carried) but not touching the ground (this came about originally as I did not want to wipe his paws as he is bitey, but now he prefers being carried!)

  4. Your cat is adorable! We have a chocolate lab, Copper, who is king of the house. King Copper, we call him. He’s 11 years old, but still acts like a toddler at times. Our furry family members bring smiles and lots of love into our lives. Wonderful post!

    1. Wonderful! A big hello from Chairman Meow to King Copper. He sounds like a lot of fun! 😀 So glad you liked the post!
