Today, January 4, is Perihelion Day!
(at least this year)
Perihelion day occurs about two weeks after every December Solstice, and on this day, Earth’s center is approximately 91,402,500 miles from the sun’s centre.
Today our sun appears the largest in our sky as it will be for the entire year!
So to celebrate our sun, here is a bright yellow raku vase fresh from the kiln!

Trying to celebrate the sun…though the heavy snow clouds. Unusual for Victoria, a dump of about 6-8 inches where most people don’t have snow tires! The yellow you use is bright and cheerful. Do you do many small vases?
