Let It Snow – Okay, Maybe Not Yet!

We have had our first taste of winter here at the studio this week and it sure looks pretty, even if the cold is a bit of an adjustment! Usually, if we are lucky, this is the sort of snow we get just before Christmas.

Winter has come early!

I don’t know about you, but the first snowfall of the season really starts to get me in the Christmas spirit! One of my ‘little’ projects, that I am going to start next week are some new ornaments for my tree. But what could they be?

Re-imagine these tiny vases designed to hang on a Christmas Tree!

Little vases for my Christmas Tree! What could be more perfect for a potter’s tree! But don’t worry, I am not leaving you out. You can check out our Christmas ornaments that are already available. One of the most common questions I am asked is can they hang on the tree. The answer is YES!!! Check out the video below:

Please take a moment and subscribe to my fledgling youtube channel! If I get to 100 hundred subscribers, I will release more throwing and firing videos.

These are some of the ornaments that we have available now for sale, if you see one that you like, send me a message. As you can see from the video, they look great on a Christmas Tree, and they also make a great gift!

If you are interested in any of the ornaments pictured here, please contact me. We also have a variety of other styles and colours available, so feel free to message and find out what else we have.

In other news, I just finished registering my ISBN for my first book! What a learning process. Thankfully, a good friend of mine has just gone through the same process with her new book ‘Harnessing Light’. She is posting some profoundly beautiful excerpts from her book, which has also been reviewed here, in case you are interested in learning more.

I would also like to encourage my readers to take a look at my ‘Vase of Attraction’ project. This project process is similar to the ‘Healing Vase’ project – which we are once again doing in 2020. Only this time I am asking people to submit what they would like to attract in 2020 for themselves or for the world. You can do so by clicking here, on this page for the project. Please comment there to help keep this busy potter more organized!

What projects are you working on for the rest of the year? Tell me about them in the comments below!

  1. Love the turquoise ornament- and I am determined to finish painting a very peculiar flower-like form. I’ll b posting about that WIP very soon.

    1. Thank you! I will pop over to your site and take a look. I always enjoy seeing what you are up to with your beautiful work.

  2. I love the ornaments – each one so unique. My project, which I started, is another book with poetry and my own illustrations. I am using a software program called Sketch. It may take a while but I enjoy being creative so I consider my time well spent.

    1. Thank you! Please let me know when your book project is done and if it is going to be printed. I may want to get a copy 😉 How do you like Sketch? I hope you have a creative and wonderful weekend ahead.

      1. Oh, I will. I found with Amazon self-publishing, the book has to be 24 pages to be printed. My first 2 books were 11 and 12 pages according to Amazon. I think they don’t count the pages with images. I love Sketch and have so much fun with it! 😉

      2. I think a lot of the self publishing places have different ways of doing things. Have you checked out ingram sparks? I know for printing they are probably one of the better options.

    1. Thank you so much Tiffany! I do believe I have subscribed to your channel a few months ago? Maybe more. I hope your weekend is off to an awesome start!

    1. Sorry for the late reply. It seems wordpress gobbled up some of my comments! I appreciate your kind comment and I hope you are having a great 2020 so far!

  3. Sorry to tell you that if you include Bhudda, the spirit of Christmas will disappear for sure The latter will not share his glory with other idols. You may mix, them, but he does not.

    1. Thank you for your apology! It is much appreciated, and while I appreciate your kind concern, I have never had any issues with maintaining the Christmas spirit with Buddha around. While yours may be a jealous God, mine is not.
