What Do You See?

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”

― John Lubbock, The Use Of Life

Are there any images

  1. Top picture-cooking pan kept on fire.
Bottom picture- face of a joker.
Thanks for sharing…it’s always interesting to create perception of an abstract form.

    1. I can see what you mean by the first post. The interesting thing with pit firing is that you have no control over what appears on the vases. You can only influence it with what you add in the reduction materials. I hope you are well and your week is off to a great start.

  2. In the top picture, a teddy bear, a bird, and an autumn leaf. In the bottom picture, a bird and a flying machine (I forget what a flier that looks like it is called).

    1. I can totally see the red dragon! I love your very creative answer of mythological proportions! Thanks so much for your comment and I hope your week is off to a great start!

  3. love this :} the first side i see the back of a bear walking into the distance, a sack on his left shoulder. the back side reminds me of Kazuo Ohno’s face paint in his performance “Admiring La Argentina”

    1. The bear siting has been a popular answer. It makes me feel like I should sculpt some bears for the raku firings! Thanks so much for your comment and I hope that your week is off to a great start!

    1. Thanks for your comment! I can see the grasshopper, but fortunately for me I can not see the clown. Which is good, because for some reason I have a big aversion to clowns! I hope your week is off to a great start.

    1. I can see the fish! It’s great you have a usual smile, that is a beautiful thing. I hope your week is off to a good start and inspiring that smile. Thank you for commenting.

  4. the top image, I see a figure of a person that reminds me of Millet’s The Gleaners, and the bottom, I see a red wheelbarrow foreground with what could be other Gleaners working behind it

    1. It’s an honour to have a piece compared to such a well known artist and I do definitely see the wheelbarrow. I hope your week is off to a great start and you are doing well. Thanks so much for your kind comment.
