Many of you may have surmised that I am working on building up my pottery studio with the intention of creating a livelihood that I love. It’s a lot of work, but one of the things I enjoy most about it is developing new items that I hope people will appreciate having in their home.
Over the last few days I have been working on these pillar candle holders, and I am hoping they will be a hit! These two pieces have already gone through the bisque firing and are ready for glazing and the raku treatment!

I think these pieces have the potential to show off the effect of the raku glazing very nicely! And I will be making a very large one for my own home for the coffee table, but I have other plans for these two pieces!

Can you think of any items you would like to see me try to make out of clay and fire in raku? Keep in mind I can’t make anything that involves food and raku fire it, though I am open to making non-raku items.
