The sculpture feels as though it is caught in mid-ascent, rising beyond its own shape and reaching toward infinite possibility.

The raku firing process, known for its unpredictability and beauty, involves removing the piece from the kiln while still glowing red-hot and placing it into combustible materials. This rapid cooling and reduction process results in unique effects and metallic sheens on the surface, making each sculpture one-of-a-kind.
