This stunning pottery sculpture captures the essence of the Earth as it was forming.   This period of the early history of our planet is known as the ‘Hadean’ eon.  Appropriately named after the god Hades this early part of the Earths history spans the first accretion of planetary material to the formation of Earth’s earliest rocks.  The spherical form, adorned with an iridescent glaze, reflects a vibrant blend of gold hues and dark hues, reds, coppers and shimmering spectrums of colour and light. Its textured surface is reminiscent of the hellish landscape of an early earth that was a molten sphere slowly starting to cool and form it’s crust after a period of heavy bombardment.
