I was quietly enjoying my Sunday evening and I got to thinking, maybe I should use the ad credit that Facebook graciously gave me to seduce me into a lifetime of advertising campaigns with them.
I figured why not give it a try?
My Facebook page could stand with a little more exposure and many successful pairings begin with an act of generosity.
Could it be destiny?
I decided upon the parameters of my ad, threw a few pictures together, wrote a tagline, and submitted my overture into the hands of my new suitors from Facebook.
Apparently I did something very inappropriate:
Was I to join the ranks of censored artists?
I did not realize my pottery was so provocative! (At least for the bots at Facebook.) I did not even include the image in the banner of my vase, “Make it Work”, which loosely resembles a dress form.
Dare I ask the question?
What do you think the Facebook’s bots found so titillating about this image? Let me know in the comments 😉
Update: Upon appeal the image was approved.
I think I was just a little sad my pottery was no longer considered ‘adult products or services, such as sex toys, sexual enhancement products, …”.
I thought I had discovered a new market.
Lots of Love,
The Dirty Alchemist
Social Sundays, where on some Sundays (okay the ones I feel like), I share my latest adventures as an artist trying to navigate social media as I think about throwing a pot.
