With all the chaos in the world, it has become a time to appreciate the simpler things in life, for those of us not on the front lines of the coronavirus fight. It is the small things that can bring comfort.
We seem to be at a real crossroads where as individuals and collectively as a society we need to make some serious choices and sacrifices.
Life does not stop during these strange times – though the perspective is surely changing. With the world shifting each day, I am able to see more clearly those things which are truly important to living the life I want.
Happy first day of Spring to everyone! The snow is starting to recede here in Atlantic Canada, the chives are poking up through the ground and we are going to do a free giveaway.
When thinking of cycles of spring and rebirth, the Tree of Life always comes to mind.
I am on a healing journey, and I think many of us are in one way or another. I have heard it said that it is useful to think of one’s self as a tree. Grounded by roots, with a firm centre/core and flexible branches that can bend with the wind.
Spring is nearly here and I have been trying to finish up a few little reno projects around the house. This includes a reimagining of my mantle place, because every home needs a heart and for our ours it will be the hearth.
I am realizing that experiencing and feeling depression is a part of the healing process. The human ability to heal and my own journey reminds me that ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ and my greatest gift this holiday season was my own resilience.
