because it’s

National Cheese Lover’s Day!

We love cheese around here

and have even made some of our own!

It’s always lovely when having cheese to pair it with a nice drink
(homemade wine anyone?)

And what better way to bring it all together than with a goblet!

Are you a fan of cheese?

have you ever made it yourself?

  1. I was watching an episode of this you tuber that I enjoy. This particular episode was about 10 foods that Americans are not allowed to eat. Near the top of the list is a particular kind of cheese that smells like teenage gym socks. It was quite nasty to look at. It’s like cheese that is 60 days expired and has not been in the refrigerator.

    1. I think id still try it as I would be too curious not to!

though I would definitely smell it first before I said yes!

  2. Cheese is the bee’s knees. I live in the southwest, so Mexican food is everywhere you go. That means tons o’ cheese (the more cheddar, the better). Never tried making cheese, though. Rats…now I’m craving mozzarella cheese sticks… 🙂

  3. Usually I make ricotta in around an hour. Just found out (and tried it) you can microwave milk (5 min) with juice of a lemon and get almost instant ricotta. All your pottery is stunning!

    1. Thank you! and yes on the ricotta! It’s an easy thing to do and can add herbs and spices to it to make a cheese for crackers as well – goats milk is easier for that though in my experience (so far anyway!)
