  1. The Great Horned Owl told me that he’s proud that he can crush the spine of a fox, and leave it alive in a tree to eat later. I asked if that was a wise decision and he said that morality is irrelevant to apex predators, but he’s proud to have generated a lot of mythological fun. He doesn’t mind posing for pictures and pots. He told me he’s the greatest bird ever and he’s willing to sign a waiver for a magazine cover in exchange for a fresh fox which he’s says are not so clever and can’t even reach Aesop’s grapes.
