The backstory
SINCE THIS LOCKDOWN is lasting longer than originally anticipated . . .
I have decided to move from doing vases only. From what I have learned around how pottery has helped my PTSD, my plans to help manage the stress and anxiety on lockdown are simple: I will continuing to make a new item for each day.
I aim to continue updating this post each day with my latest lockdown thing I made! (I am looking for ideas! Submit what you think I should make here!)
Phew!
You can also win a vase and more here!

Wow this is amazing! Such a great idea.
Thank you Olivia! I am glad you are enjoying following along and I hope you are keeping safe and well 🙏
I love day 26’s shape. It’s like the shape of a hug.
What a lovely thing to share! And I think I know what you mean! warm and full bodied!
I like day 12 is the base a great egg-shaped base can you make a vase like that with extended neckline of 10″
It would be awesome in green. Why are you in lockdown so long?
Hi Denise! sounds like you have something pretty specific in mind! Is this something youd be looking at for yourself?
As for why lockdown was so long, just seems to be the way of things around these parts lately! Thankfully that stage is now passed and things are slowly coming around
Great idea! Btw I truly enjoy my angel I got from you! Beautiful!
Thank you! That is so lovely to hear! 🙏
Great proportions !!
Thank you Tish! Nice of you to notice 🙂 Have a great one!
Your pottery skills are wonderful and it’s a blessing to have something that you are good at, love to do to earn a living, and acts as stress relief! I saw that vase you made that had the world view map of the continent of the Americas on it (I only saw one side so it may have had other continents on it as well), it was gorgeous!!!
Thank you! Yes I feel grateful for pottery finding me 🙏 It sounds like this was the vase you were thinking of? I am going to be making more of them as well 🙂 https://rakupottery.ca/2021/02/11/dreams-realized/
