Update: lockdown has been extended to at least month end
We are restricted to our household bubble and trips for essential items only. Thankfully groceries and garden centres are still open (at reduced capacity). Hopefully this will be enough to combat the variants that are the most common COVID-19 here at this time.
Continuing to pull from how pottery has helped my PTSD, my plans to help manage the stress and anxiety are simple: I will be making a new vase for each day of this two week lockdown.
Or at least that is the plan.
I aim to continue updating this post each day with my latest lockdown vase!
Phew!
You can also see finished vases (ie not raw clay) here

‘Making a vase a day keeps the anxiety away’.
Let me know what you think of the latest vase(s) in the comments below.
Lovely work! I’m still in dismay about those students that were so careless that you mentioned.
I can understand that! I think they were not concerned about the cost of paying the fine, so there was no deterrent for them unfortunately. :/
That’s incredibly selfish, a common thing among young folks today in my view. It’s all about me me me…
Keeping busy is so important to help keep that anxiety at bay! When you can get out to the post office you should sell those!
I’m sorry to hear about your continued lockdown. It looks like the demand for vaccines is going down here in the US. A lot of people don’t want it and a lot only want one shot instead of two. I asked my daughter why we have extra shots when you guys have the better health care system and she said our govt. bought them up. I think we should just start giving them to our friends in other countries. She told me our govt. is selling them to Canada. Have you heard news like that? Anyone here can get a vaccine any day they want it now, if they’re over 18. I had mine. Rock on with the beautiful vases!
Wow! I would’ve loved to learn pottery but we don’t have any such resources available here.
