Day 4 – LockDown Again: A Vase A Day Keeps The Anxiety Away

Scroll down if you already have context and just want to see today’s vase

It’s been quite the week here in Nova Scotia.

We’ve had a sudden surge in our covid cases, due in part to travellers from within Canada breaking their entry isolation requirements, and university students partying – and posting pictures online with all of their tickets for public health violations.

To the credit of our government their response was swift. Yesterday marked our first official day in lockdown, restricted to our household bubble and trips for essential items only. Hopefully this will be enough to combat the variants, which were all brought here from travel, because we have a serious lack of vaccines here compared to the UK and USA.

My plans to help manage the stress and anxiety is simple. I will be making a new vase for each day of this two week lockdown. Or at least that is the plan.

I will be updating this post each day with my latest lockdown vase!

  1. I love the peek into your studio and the vases idea is brilliant. I wish our (US) govt would start sending vaccines to you. I think we have a surplus and seems most people who wanted to vax have already done it. Anyway, there’s been a sharp decline at the vaccination sites. Our president says he will send out surplus, and I hope some goes to you and your fellow countrymen (and women).

    1. Thank you Cynthia, I am glad to hear you like the idea. I believe some vaccines are being sent our way

  2. I don’t know why Canada seems to have less access to the vaccines. A Canadian blogger I follow in BC says that the States have sent the vaccine to Canada though. Stay safe my friend! 🇨🇦😎

    1. Thanks John! I believe it is due to the US having manufacturing of the vaccine within the country where as we unfortunately, do not have that. Keeping safe here at home! 🙏

      1. OK, I thinnk the States have shipped lots of vaccine into Canada. I love Canada! 🇨🇦

    1. Thanks Chris! More coming every day, I will be posting Day 11 later today!

  3. Beautiful work. It’s too bad people don’t comply, then they cause havoc for everyone else. Sorry you’re in lockdown again, but you’re being productive, which is good. T
Take care and stay safe, Lauren
