Day 2 – LockDown Again: A Vase A Day Keeps The Anxiety Away

It’s been quite the week here in Nova Scotia.

We’ve had a sudden surge in our covid cases, due in part to travellers from within Canada breaking their entry isolation requirements, and university students partying – and posting pictures online with all of their tickets for public health violations.

To the credit of our government their response was swift. Yesterday marked our first official day in lockdown, restricted to our household bubble and trips for essential items only. Hopefully this will be enough to combat the variants, which were all brought here from travel, because we have a serious lack of vaccines here compared to the UK and USA.

My plans to help manage the stress and anxiety is simple. I will be making a new vase for each day of this two week lockdown. Or at least that is the plan.

I will be updating this post each day with my latest lockdown vase!

Day 2

Day 1

‘Making a vase a day keeps the anxiety away’.

Let me know what you think of the latest vase(s) in the comments below.

Stay safe everyone!

  1. I’m so sorry you are back in lockdown. We are blessed to have pretty good access to vaccine doses in my area, but since the kids aren’t vaccinated at this point, we’re still getting outbreaks in the schools. One of my sons went back to virtual learning this week, which has taken an emotional toll on him. Hoping for the best in your part of the world. And what a great way you have found to cope!

    1. Thank you, Eugenia! I hope you are keeping safe and well yourself! πŸ™

  2. Hang in there…. we were under a lockdown for a month… then it was extended another 2 weeks so we are still in lockdown… πŸ™ it’s getting a bit ridiculous … Carry on with your vases… πŸ™‚ they will cheer us all up along the way and help you through too… πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, very much appreciated. I hope your lockdown is going alright as well πŸ™

  3. Thanks for sharing the reasons why. Here in Australia hardly anyone is vaccinated cause cases are so low. We have lockdowns within regions when something happens. Sad that it is this tragic pandemic that seems to make our stomachs churn for others from around the world. Stay safe and keep creating.🍯

    1. I hope it stays safe there! Nova Scotia was like that for a long time until a leadership change caused a policy change and here we are….

      1. They just opened a vaccination hub for over 50s today and in a few weeks our 40 plus people get access. Well in my state anyway. Mindful of the situation globally.
Indian version our current cases but came from someone in quarantine from US. So next few days we look with baited breath to see if another lockdown.
