I enjoyed seeing your week in photos very much. My week was very good – with working in my gardens and hosting visitors who are still asleep this morning. I had 2 surprises this week – The Weekly Avocet, a nature-themed literary magazine published 3 of my haiku this week. And, I learned that my mixed-media fiber art work was awarded first place in the InSights20 exhibition in Louisville, KY – the show opens in October but the jurying was done this past week. All in all, it’s been a week of happy surprises and satisfaction in my little piece of Heaven-on-Earth in The Village of Wurtemburg (western PA). I always enjoy visiting your blog and looking at what you are doing – raku is my favorite pottery – and yours is really gorgeous! Hope your week ahead is packed with good stuff.

I’m pea green of your garden…my peas, tomatoes, beans, and peppers haven’t done much of anything except look like I’m doing something….and a cat is digging up the catnip. I will now show them your photos and try to shame them into production.

Your kitchen garden is abundant and your Hosta magnificent, do you have to deal with slugs attacking it? I have a few in my garden because they are so striking but I weep when I see them being devoured. So much so that I may have to stop growing them. I would go out at night and send the slugs I found on holiday over the garden fence. I haven’t done that for a couple of weeks but last night one had just got back and turned up on my doorstep to complain 🙂
