Empathy and compassion is lacking in most of humanity. If you don’t share that with love, respect and common decency, how can you expect it in return? As you mold clay with gentleness it becomes malleable. Beautiful piece! Always a pleasure to see your creations😊

Beautiful vases and wonderful question, Jay! To be able to continue to remain resilient and in the creative Flow as I live every moment is my first response.
As I picture you in the Creative Flow of your work, I can mentally compare it to our “work” of living life as being an art. Life itself is change. The living of life requires the same ability to remain malleable and responsive to the creative spirit, as the clay must for the potter. 💞

Possibilities, potentials.
I would love humanity to believe in these things. We all look at things without actually looking at them and as a result, we miss the possible potentials of these things. I love your work, it is filled with so many possibilities which you always look out for, thereby, creating a wonder. If it were up to me, I would love to change the way we look at things so dismissively.

If I could change anything, I want people to be open to new ideas, different races, cultures, and possibilities. Only because we were flexible clay, nature molded us into our human forms. And we became the beings that Allah came to love.

I want to change people’s perception of the world’ we are on vacation just passing through. There is no point collecting alot of materials as you can’t take it to the next world, there is meaning in giving and sharing and dancing barefooted, feeling the ground, smelling the cute aromas of the beautiful foods and embracing different cultures and making someone smile, we dont got forever.. Quit worrying and comparing and start to live, even a little – my wish is to see more people coming at life with this kind of attitude

I love seeing your work in progress, it’s nice to have a tiny window into someone else’s journey. I am a work in progress, always evolving and adapting. I think the older I get the more accepting of myself I become, flaws and all. That said it would be lovely to have a good grasp of the time concept. It’s always been such an abstract thing for me. An hour can feel like a week and a month like a day. Perhaps that’s why my blogging attempts are quite random. Maybe that might be a good thing to change.

I have such respect for your ability to create a beautiful piece from a block of clay. My one semester of pottery in HS revealed how difficult the process is. I love that we have the ability to shape ourselves and our lives into that which we desire, and like the pottery process, it can be difficult. Also like the pottery process, sometimes we must start over, but there is always beauty in the process. ❤️
What a great thought to begin my day. One of my favorite prayers is for my heart .to be soft and pliable so that the Creator can do what is best for me. It is an interesting dynamic to consider myself as the Creator. I took a pottery class recently – before the corona crisis cut it short, and I was unprepared for how challenging it would be! My instructor said, “you are the boss of the clay, but it has to be just right to obey. “ so I am practicing to be the boss of the things that are just right, and not forcing situations or people to be anything. I can only do my part, but my part must be done. Thanks for the inspiration and reminder today!
