With a bit more time indoors as of late, I have been repotting a few plants. These two lucky plants (Nancy left, Sid right) found new homes in some plant pots I made.

Nice plants, Sid has a fuzzy head of hair! I named my faux Tortoise in the backyard Wilson today. 😬

I like cacti. I do think next time Sid would like a higher pot, at least twice it’s own length. Cacti in nature mostly have roots up till 20 times their height aboven the ground. But as pots, I like both of them 🙂
oh wow! Thanks for the information. I did not know that. I had Sid in a pot less than half the size of this one for the last couple of years. Maybe the deeper pot will help him soar to new heights. Sid and Nancy seem happy in their new pots. I’m glad I’m not the only one that gives names to my plants. I think Sid is going to need a deeper pot soon.

We are well! Our county in Georgia is on lockdown starting at midnight. This includes the city of Atlanta. We are retired and don’t go out much anyway but I feel sorry for those out of work. Tough times for all.
The succulent and the cactus – sounds like the title of a story, or a poem.I’ll work on it.

I could not resist. Sid has been with me for a few years. The furry cactus reminded me a bit of his hair, and it was only a matter of time before I found his Nancy for him 😉 Thanks for your comment and wishing you all the best.
The Succulent and the Cactus
So tall and strong the cactus stood,it’s prickles daring all to try
To challenge it, but no-one could until a succulent came by.
So soft and green and pretty, she displayed a warm and loving heart
And, nestling close, it seemed that he was wishing they would never part.
But oh, alas, t’was no to be for in a giant pot he grew
While she sat, lonely, knowing that to share a home would never do.
Her chubby leaves were all quite full of water, more she did not need-
Keeping his thorns so sharp, not dull, took light and heat and extra feed.
So, strong and silent he stood by and watched her spread her arms out wide
Grateful that they were both up high in separate pots, but side by side.

well, though from most perspectives (not all,) less romantic, they look a bit more like Rocky and Bullwinkle….

You named your plants : ).
I’ve named one. It is “The Beast” aptly named because it is about 20+ years of age. A tropical palm that shoots bizarro growths that I love & is a near back-breaker to move in & outdoors! You’ve inspired me to name more. It will be fun determining what they want to be called.
