The Power of Intention

Some of you may recall that our ‘Vase of Attraction’ is our first community based art project for 2020, and we are looking to start the year off on fire!

What is the ‘Vase of Attraction’ you might be asking?

My concept for this piece is to allow the process of raku and the flames of the reduction process to act as a powerful intention to bring positive change for all who to choose to participate in this process collectively. The process for this project will be similar to that of the ‘Healing Vase Project’, which you can learn more about in the video below:

Some of you may recall that I asked people to choose between these two vases to determine which would be our vase of attraction:

The vase I have chosen is below. I enjoyed reading everyone’s thoughts and comments regarding which vase I should pick. Ultimately I made my choice because of the sentiment that some of you shared that this vase looked pregnant (with possibility I say) and ready to bring to life to all of our dreams and projects.

The Vase of Attraction!

You can still join us! We will be accepting submissions for the ‘Vase of Attraction’ project here.

What do you think of the vase I have chosen? If you want to stay updated on this and other projects and see how the vase turns out, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter here.

I hope everyone’s New Year is off to a wonderful start!

You may be wondering how you can participate in this process? The answer is simple. I am asking you to share one of the following in the written words of your choice in the comments on the project page linked here:

  • What you would like to attract for 2020. What are your hopes and dreams for the upcoming year? This could be anything from more love, to new opportunities, personal growth or more joy.
  • Globally, what positive changes you would like to see in our world. This could be anything from peace, prosperity, or any type of universal global healing.

I only ask that you keep all comments positive, non political and respectful.

    1. Sorry for the delayed reply. WordPress had marked this comment spam, which it is most certainly not. I am happy to add your beautiful intentions to this project! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  1. “May Peace prevail on Earth as we unfold the clarity of our 20/20 Vision.”

I think the choice of this particular vase and your reasons behind the selection perfect! I haven’t been successful in my efforts to submit my request on the link to the other site, so do hope this attempt will work. This is such a wonderful example of expressing the power of intention and I AM very grateful to be able to participate! Thank you so much for the opportunity. 💞

  2. Great selection for the vase! Gosh, if people would use some common sense – think before speaking, think before taking action, be respectful and responsible.

    1. That would be great wouldn’t it? I sometimes think that those very things should be part of what is taught in school. It would make the world a kinder place 😉 I hope your year is off to a good start.

    1. These are beautiful wishes for the year ahead and beyond. I hope you and all of us find this. Wishing you many amazing adventures for the year ahead!

    1. I really hope your wishes come into being. I can relate to the sentiment that such dreams seem impossible and hopeless, particularly in a world where anger and hate has seemed to increase for some reason. All we can do is hold the space for love, peace and nature. Wishing you a wonderful 2020.

  3. I must say I like this vase just as it is in all of its white purity and imperfectness. To me, it speaks to the need to accept ourselves as we are, with all of our imperfections and asymmetries, rather than covering them over or disguising them (as a glaze might do). But those are just my random thoughts. Thank you for giving us objects of beauty which allow us to contemplate our own lives!

    1. Thanks for sharing such an interesting observation and I really love and appreciate the sentiments behind your words. I think self acceptance is a process that we see more clearly as we get older. I am going to put some glaze on this vase, but I am considering your comment and maybe it will help inform the end results. Hoping your 2020 is off to a wonderful start!

      1. No worries at all. It did not come across that way to me at all. I have had the same experience where I worry about casual observations I make sometimes. I really appreciate your insights. It helps broaden my perspective. I hope you have an amazing weekend.
