A New Year is Coming: Dream More, Worry Less!

Happy New Year’s Eve!

I thought it might be a fun and self motivating idea if I shared some of my goals and dreams with you all for the coming year. What is of particular interest to me is to see where I am with all of these things next year at this time! I plan to write a post at the end of next year so we can see how well I did.

Such a beautiful sunflower!
  1. Plant enough sunflowers for the fence line beside the studio!
  2. Work on finishing the interior of the studio up and get a wood stove installed there so I can work in there next winter!
  3. Write another book!
  4. Lots of hikes in all of the seasons.
  5. Get back into my regular workout schedule which seems to have fallen away a bit while I was writing the book and over the holidaze!

6. Create a gratitude jar!

11. Learn how to make candles!
12. Complete at least one pit firing next year!Finish everything required for my next art show!

18. Share excess garden produce with neighbours, friends and those in need.

Add it in the comments if it grabs you!

    1. Here is hoping! I think it will happen! Just trying to plan the best moment to get it done. I am hoping for the late spring.
Thank you so much for subscribing to my youtube channel and helping me reach that goal. I am hoping to work on a video this weekend. We are supposed to get 15 to 20 cm of snow sometime this weekend!
Wishing you all the best with your dreams and goals in 2020 and beyond!

      1. Yay…good luck with your spring project🥰 You’re very welcome, I’ll look forward to the new video – I hope you don’t get snowed in! Aw..thank you so much😊

      2. Thank you so much for your kind words! I was happy to be able to sneak a bisque firing in before the storm 😉

    1. Thank you so very much for your very kind comment! Wishing you much joy and happiness in the year to come!

    1. It is good to keep busy! It keeps me out of trouble 😉 I hope your New Year is off to a good start and wishing you an amazing 2020!

      1. Thanks. I am good – daughter is here though at the moment. She is pleasant enough but totally unfathomable. Crying because we expect her to go home today – she couldn’t wait to get out when she left home 5 years ago!

      2. haha! She may be just realizing now how good she had it at home 😉 My friends son moved out a few years ago and apparently he is still upset that they turned his room into an office 😉

      3. It’s gotta be done! Put ’em off coming back. Daughter has to sleep on the sofa because wife now uses her old room – apparently I now fidget too much at night!

      4. haha! Yes you want them to be comfortable when they visit but not too comfortable 😉 Apparently I snore at night when I have a cold 😉

    1. Happy New Year Barbara! Thank you so much for your kind comment and wishes. I am wishing you an amazing 2020 full of joy, peace and great things! All the best!

      1. Thank you ! Well, do you think that, one day, it will be possible for a poor (yes mister !!!) poor French girl to buy one of your wonderful “Athena” pottery ???

      2. I think that of course one day it will be possible for that to happen! I think I know a potter who would give you a good price on an owl, the big problem would be the shipping depending on where you are. 😉 Maybe I will have to make an owl print to send you in the meantime 😉

      3. I’m so far from you ! I’m near Spain. 🙁 I can also go stick my nose in your house, but it’s very, very cold, isn’t it? Anyway, one of these 4 days, I’ll manage to admire one of your beautiful owls at home (but if I come to Canada, I’ll leave with even more things from your place! ) 🙂

      4. haha! Right now it is very cold here! Best to come in the summer or bring a very warm coat! You are too kind with your comments! Spain the the surrounding area is such a beautiful part of the world!

    1. Thank you so much! Wishing you the same and much joy, peace and love in 2020! Thank you for being a bright spot in my wordpress world this past year!

    1. Happy New Year and all the best in 2020 for you! I appreciate your kind comment and encouragement and excellent usage of the pun 😉 All the best!

  2. Happy New Year to you and yours. I hope all your goals are met and I wish you much success in your business ventures. I am planning a trip to NS next August and I am very excited about that.

    1. Happy New Year to you with much joy and love! Any specific destinations planned for your visit to NS in August? There are so many beautiful spots to choose from!

      1. Thank you so much for the kind wishes! While I am in NS, I will be in Antigonish to celebrate a birthday of a family member and I also will be in Truro, New Glasgow and New Minas. I hope to get to Cape Breton as well. Lots of family to visit. I would love to take a short trip to PEI if there is time. Take care, my best to you, always 🙂

      2. You have a pretty full itinerary for your trip! If you can get to PEI, try to take the highway along the North Shore and stop at one of the beaches. The water is the warmest north of the Carolinas 😉 I hope you have an amazing trip 😉

      3. Thanks jay! Great advice! My hubby is coming with me on this trip and I just relayed this to him. We are excited about coming back to NS. After all these years away, I still think of it as home! I love the people and the beautiful scenery . 🙂

  3. It looks like you have your work cut out for u -Godspeed 🙂- I am going to keep my list this year more reasonable than last years- Happy New Year’s! 🥳

    1. Thanks for the kind wish! That is probably some good advice, so maybe this year I will just commit to not adding too many more things to my list, which I have a tendency to do 😉 Hope you are well and having a great start to the year!

      1. Good thinking! I feel I may have a few on my list from this year that carry over into 2020 as well 😉

  4. What’s your YouTube channel. I would be happy to subscribe. I am at Dr Thomas Maples on YouTube. Just hit me up and we can boost each other’s content if you want. Happy New Year and what a wonderful sunflower 🌻.

  5. That’s quite a list but they all sound reasonable. Definitely will keep you busy during 2020. I especially like your sunflower one. I’m hoping to plant some zinnias this year. Probably by our fence after the tulips go down or the garage.

    1. We will find out just how reasonable they are as we go through the year! Zinnias are so beautiful! I need to plant something by our tulips too! So grateful for them in the spring, but they don’t last too long! Have a wonderful New Year ahead!

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment! It is a beautiful sentiment to keep growing and healthy and I wish you all the success in the world with it! Have a beautiful and magical year ahead.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read them and comment! I hope you find that space too and are able to sort out your amazing dreams and wishes for 2020! All the best.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment! I like to keep busy I guess! I hope you are well and have an amazing New Year!

    1. Mine is only a mason jar, but it works 😉 Wishing you lots of happiness in 2020!

    1. Thank yous o much for taking the time to comment! I hope your 2020 is off to an amazing start!

    1. Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, I just saw this comment now! I hope you are having a wonderful New Year so far!

    1. Thank you! Hopefully I will be able to get to most of them! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

  6. Wishing you all the best for 2020. I do needle art (counted cross-stitch) some on commission, some for myself, some for gifts. I get a lot of help from my kitten.

    1. Wishing you great creative adventures for 2020 and lots of joy and love. Does your kitten sit there and eagerly watch as the thread moves while you are doing your needle point? I am sure those gift recipients appreciate such a wonderful gift! If I had more time I would like to try some rug hooking.

  7. Lost my reply if it turns up twice….. resolutions excellent especially asparagus patch! Any ideas for London studios or classes for ceramics to see if I want to get another studio? I’ve been on the road for ages and need to tease the water?!
Rtpots.com shows some of my stuff and art-with-attitude.co.uk cheers Rebecca

    1. Thanks for sharing your websites with me! Your work is lovely and intriguing! Your story made me smile too 😉 I am located in rural Canada. I am hoping one day to have some sort of artist residency here at my studio, but a few more pieces of the puzzle need to be in place before that. I hope you have an exciting and adventurous 2020!
