Studio Update

We are due for another round of snow this evening after what I would describe as a nearly balmy day here in Nova Scotia! All these weather fluctuations have left me recovering from a cold.

I have been working on prototyping some new jewelry pieces that should be available in the next few weeks. One of them may even be a baby Yoda! I just couldn’t resist. There are also a few other surprises that I am working on as well πŸ˜‰

I am excited to announce that I am currently piloting a shopping cart feature on my website. For the time being, it is only on the jewelry page. You can take a look here, and please let me know what you think! Do you think I should role it on my other pages too?

Tomorrow I will be releasing a survey for my regular readers in a blog post. I hope you will consider participating, as it will help inform my content here on this blog, but also help me move forward with my dream of becoming a full time artist.

In the meantime, you can take my quiz ‘Which raku pottery vase are you?’ by clicking here.

It is also not too late to order a Christmas ornament or a tree in time for the holidays. You can find out more information here.

You can see some of my handmade ornaments in this video! Don’t forget to checkout our Christmas Trees here!

    1. Snow came again yesterday in time for Christmas, hopefully it will stick around. Just a skiff for snuggling!

  1. Oh good old Novi! My Dad is a Maritimer. He still has the accent after decades of being elsewhere. Your work is beyond stunning!

    1. It can be quite a distinct accent and varies around the province. Thank you for your support!

    1. Thank you for the kind comment. Sorry for the delayed response, I just found some comments wordpress had marked as spam for some reason. I hope you are well and having a great weekend!

    1. A fellow Bluenoser πŸ˜‰ I am sorry for the delay in my reply. For some reason wordpress marked your comment as spam which it is so clearly not! The studio is out in Cumberland county. If you are ever passing by this way in the spring/summer/fall, feel free to get in touch. A visit would be welcome πŸ˜‰ Hope your 2020 is off to an amazing start!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Sorry for the delayed response, it seems wordpress has an issue with marking spam! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thank you so much for your very kind comment! I have a few of them that I need to try and fire next week! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

      1. I was born in Antigonish and lived out in the country till I went to Boston when I was 21. I had my first teaching job there! I have lots of family still in NS and also in Ontario and BC. I
        have a big family!

      2. That is a lovely area and there is some beautiful country out there! It must have been interesting to go from there to a big city like Boston! I hope you are well and having a great week so far!

      3. It was a whole other world to go to Boston.
“The Country girl meets the big city” I could write a book on it … LOL
But, it was all pretty much wonderful and amazing!

    1. Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I have a few more of those angels as well.

  3. I like the dolphin a lot πŸ™‚ I consider buying it once I got the spare money. Tbh I couldn’t find the baby Yoda at first because it reminds me of Buddha πŸ˜‰ It’s sweet nonetheless.

I wish you the best of luck in turning your passion into a business! You definitely are already an artist πŸ˜‰

    1. Thank you so much again for your kind comment and words! If you are interested in the dolphin at some point, you can buy it directly from the website, or feel free to email me directly on the contact form.
It is an exciting journey and I really appreciate your well wishes and encouragement.

      1. Thank you! I’ll get back to you then πŸ˜‰
I hope you had a great start into the New Year and probably already could get ahead with your plans and those incense burner prototypes?

  4. Oh and btw, I watched the video you recommended last time, ‘What the Bleep to we know?’. It was very interesting to see the ‘forces at work’ behind ones energies/awakening from a sciency perspective. Did you know that there’s also an extended version of the film? If you haven’t already, I recommend it. It got some interesting (and also funny) scenes and interviews with some of the scientists featured in the film πŸ˜‰

    1. I am glad you found that movie interesting! I always get something new from it when I watch it over again. I have watched the extended version before, but I am overdue to watch it again. Thanks so much for mentioning it.
