Enlightenment OM A String

Is my title a typo or a pun? Scroll down and find out!

Happy Thursday everyone! It’s dark and cloudy here and we are bracing for another windstorm and more RAIN! It’s been tough the past few weeks to find a suitable time for a raku firing, but I am hoping that this weekend the people at the weather network will be right for a change. Sunny skies ahead they say.

One of the items that I will be firing next will be more of these lovely little creations, which have been quite a popular item.

For a limited time you can get a raku pottery Buddha necklace, paired with a copy of our book ‘A Potter’s Dream: Myth’s & Legends’ for about $50 CAD, or $43 USD. This includes shipping in the price as well! Check here for more details and other great items that can be paired with the book!

So far my crowdfunding campaign to print this book is at 43%! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your kind support so far. If you like what I do, but are unable to financially support this project, please consider sharing it. Every bit of help to reach our goal will help make it a reality!

I continue to be humbled and awed by the response to our ‘A Vase of Healing’ project! If you are healing from grief, or other life issues, be sure to check this project out!

What do you think of our Buddha necklaces?

Good luck with that! Necklaces are sweet, om.

    1. I really am a dreamer! Unfortunately they always seem to be right when the weather is crappy ;-(
      Ommmmmmm!
Hope your weather is better than ours. Yesterday they turned off the power to work on the lines in anticipation of the winds!

      1. Wow. Just looked at your town at Windy.com. That’s quite an impressive low pressure system you’ve got there! And those wind gusts are nothing to sneeze at. Stay safe!

      2. Thank you Marica! It can often be fairly windy here, but this is a whole other level. The low pressure system going on is quite wicked!

    1. Thanks John. I shall try and do a non rain dance and see if that helps 😉 Hope you are well!

    1. Thank you so much! I am really excited by that project and planning a few more along the same line 😉 Hope you are well 😉

    1. Thank you so much Pat for your very kind comment! You have caught on to my secret plan 😉 If you are currently in the market for some colour and beauty, you should check out my crowdfunding campaign for my book.

      1. I am humbled that you wish to interview and I am of course interested! I will send you an email this morning 😉 Thank you for the kind offer and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment Linda! So far the weather has not been cooperative, but I am ready to go when it does! Hope your weekend is off to a good start.

  2. Having fun in the Nor’easter? We had quite a blast from it the night before last- I’m surprised the power didn’t go out. And I like the minimalism of the Buddha 😊

    1. We did not actually get to bad here! Extreme low pressure system though and had to delay my firing until today, which I plan on getting started shortly 😉 Thanks, I like to think Buddha is a fan of minimalism 😉 How did you fare in the blast you had?

      1. Perfectly well since- thankfully- the power didn’t go out 😃. Which is good as we had our first frost last nite. It did knock a tree down onto a house that sits along my drive into town (I’m dog sitting for my Mom this week so now I have a commute). And yes I think a minimalist approach is appropo for a Buddha sculpture!

    1. Thanks Eugenia! We made out okay here and the sun is finally coming out, which means I am going to be able to fire some pottery! How is the weather there? Hope you are well!
