Happy Thursday everyone! It’s dark and cloudy here and we are bracing for another windstorm and more RAIN! It’s been tough the past few weeks to find a suitable time for a raku firing, but I am hoping that this weekend the people at the weather network will be right for a change. Sunny skies ahead they say.
One of the items that I will be firing next will be more of these lovely little creations, which have been quite a popular item.

Having fun in the Nor’easter? We had quite a blast from it the night before last- I’m surprised the power didn’t go out. And I like the minimalism of the Buddha 😊
We did not actually get to bad here! Extreme low pressure system though and had to delay my firing until today, which I plan on getting started shortly 😉 Thanks, I like to think Buddha is a fan of minimalism 😉 How did you fare in the blast you had?
Perfectly well since- thankfully- the power didn’t go out 😃. Which is good as we had our first frost last nite. It did knock a tree down onto a house that sits along my drive into town (I’m dog sitting for my Mom this week so now I have a commute). And yes I think a minimalist approach is appropo for a Buddha sculpture!
