What happens when an eccentric potter with a dream cries out into the wilderness of the interwebs in search of those who want to dream along with them?

We are about to find out.

At long last, after much dreaming and work, I am pleased to announce that I am in the final stages of preparing to print my first ever book, ‘A Potter’s Dream: Myths & Legends’. You can see a draft version of my cover in the image below:

‘A Potter’s Dream: Myths & Legends’ pairs my pottery creations with myths and legends from around the world retold with my own quirky spin. It makes for a great coffee table book, bedtime reading, bathroom book or gift for the art lover on your shopping list.

Now, I will get straight to the point. I am looking to crowd fund a portion or all of the printing costs associated with this book. In order to do so, and make this appealing to people, I have launched a crowdfunding campaign here. I have created some creative fun perks that includes everything from receiving a printed copy of the book, a digital download, your very own piece of raku pottery, or the inclusion of your very own personal myth or legend.

    1. Hi Lisa! I do have some vases with purple in them that have a smooth ‘glass’ like finish. I am also ready to test a lilac purple glaze that will have many of the cracks that raku is known for. If you send me a message and let me know exactly what you are looking for I would be happy to come up with something for you along the lines of what you are looking for.       1. Today was a good day. First good day in a long while. Won’t go into much detail… all you need to know is what you are doing helps people. It does. It matters. Whether the book thing happens or not or you make another pot or not, you matter, to me, because I said so – ha ha!
