Local Bear Sighting

Lately we have been have a cold winter here on the East Coast of Canada. So cold in fact that we have started seeing polar bears here in Nova Scotia! What is the weather like in your part of the world?

Our collection of raku pottery polar bears, and in the future, other creatures like seahorses and whales can be found here!

What kind of pottery creatures would you like to see next?

    1. Thank you so much for your very kind words! I hope you have an amazing start to your week!

      1. I agree. It is sad to see our impact on the world and other species on the planet.

  1. We are at the end of summer here in NZ. There has actually been a fluctuating heat wave here over the last month or so in many parts of the country. I am hoping that the rain forecast for Thursday eventuates because we haven’t really had any proper rain all month. In fact, very little since Christmas.

    1. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, that you will get some rain. I would love to visit NZ one day! Such a beautiful country.

      1. It really is a beautiful country, we are very lucky. 🙂 The rain came a day late, on Friday (yesterday), but at least we got it and it was quite a good amount.

  2. You do beautiful work, my friend! It’s pretty chipper in my neck of the woods (I live close to Atlanta, Ga). We’ve had a lot of rain and in fact the Chattahoochee River has reached its banks in parts of Georgia.

    Love your polar bears!!

    1. First and foremost, many apologies for this late reply. For some reason WordPress decided your comment was spam ;-( I really appreciate your kind words and all you do. You were one of my first followers when I start this blog in December, and I am so very grateful to you for the community you have built of creatives and for a gentle introduction to blogging.

Georgia is a beautiful state. Hopefully the water does not get much higher in your neck of the woods. We just had two feet of snow yesterday! At least the polar bears will appreciate it!

I am glad you like the polar bears! Seahorses will be sailing along some time soon.

    1. I am glad to hear you are having good weather there! It is very freezing here today, so the polar bears are happy! Thanks for your kind words!

  3. I love your polar bears and I also like seals but any animal is of interest to me. I live in Indiana and our weather is very erratic. The temperatures can vary by 50-60 degrees from one day to the next. We’ve also had lots of snow and rain. Not fun!

    1. That is a great idea to make some seals! I have seen some sculptures of them before that are quite beautiful! I though our 30 degree temperature swings were bad! I hope the weather improves for you and me both and that you have a great week! Thanks for your kind words!

  4. It will be getting up to 18C by the end of this week, but as its the uk no doubt it could be snowing in march, april, and even into may, no promise’s here my friend.
Nice polar bears BTW.. i have someone i know lives in Nova Scotia..

    1. Aww the UK! You are lucky that the UK is considerably warmer than here thanks to the Gulf Stream, though we got up to 7C this weekend, though we are back down to -16C. Thanks for your kind words and I hope your week is off to a great start!

    1. Has the polar/arctic vortex lifted there yet? Minnesota winters are pretty legendary for their potency! Hope you are staying warm and having a great week.

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words! You may not have polar bears in Spain, but I am sure the weather is much better! Spain is such a beautiful country! I hope you have a great week!

    1. Thanks so much for your comment! I just found a number of them in my spam folder here on wordpress, so I am sorry for the late reply! You are safe with the raku bears! We are selling the bears if interested, please feel free to comment or send a message. Thanks for your kind words!

    1. I don’t think that is the first time that has happened. Thanks for your kind wishes. Spring is here, but the sun seems to be hiding! Hope you are having a lovely spring in your part of the world.
