This Fall, I decided to challenge myself and make all of the ornaments for my tree (okay most of them)! All of the bulbs on the tree were thrown on a potter’s wheel by hand and treated to some special glazes.
In the spirit of the season I would like to share this video showcasing my work and the results. You can also follow our brand spanking new Youtube channel!
How do you think I did? Which ornament is your favourite?
Happy Holidays,
The Alchemist
PS – The winner of Christmas ornament giveaway is Andrew Moore. Congratulations Andrew! We will be in touch soon to work out the details of getting the ornament to you!
Great job. I like the red one on lower right. It has a lot of depth. I bet they are less fragile than the ones sold by the stores. Allan
Thanks for your kind words! I do like how the red turned out, it is hard to capture some of the lines in the video. They are very sturdy, a number of them have been dropped, but none have been broken … yet! I hope you have a great day!

I love the white and blue crackle glazes, and that seahorse! Btw, who did that version of Good King Wenceslas?
Thanks for your kind words! That version of the song is by Loreena Mckennit, she is a Canadian singer, and that song was from her Christmas album.
Thank you – I thought it sounded familiar! I love Loreena McKennit, but I didn’t realize she had a Christmas album!
What a beautiful and industrious undertaking? Has C Meow sent any of your beautiful ornaments flying from tree?
Thank you! C-Meow has always been good with Christmas trees 😉 He likes the smell though. I almost got a picture of him under the tree, but he was too stealthy LOL
